Literature: At the Heart of Our Lives.

Save the date! The 2012 Youth Literature Festival Community Day will be October 6, 2012.

The Youth Literature Festival celebrates the value of literature in the lives of youth by bringing together local and national authors, illustrators, poets, and storytellers to share their stories, their craft, and their enthusiasm with children and teens. Author visits to area schools are a central part of the festival activities. The festival also includes a Community Day Celebration that is free to the public. Community Day activities encourage all ages to share in the value of literature with hands-on activities, performances, and author presentations.

Planning has begun for the next Youth Literature Festival, (YLF) which will take place October 4-6, 2012. Check back often, or follow the College of Education on Facebook for the latest updates.

The 2012 Youth Literature Festival will consist of two days of school visits by guest authors and a community day for the public on October 6.
